Update 2023: This list was compiled before the civil war broke out in the country. Not sure it’s the best time to visit right now as it’s still being controlled by a murderous military regime. Here’s a list of things to do in Yangon, Myanmar whenever it’s safe and sensible to visit again…

1. Explore Myanmar’s holiest site Shwedagon Pagoda (shortly before sunset is best)

2. Eat Mohinga

4. Walk and eat around in Chinatown (18th-24th street)
